What is the SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE?
The SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE is a joint initiative of fishermen, environmental protection associations, scientists and private groups who collect waste together - on beaches, rivers and in the sea. The collected waste is sorted, cleaned and recycled by partner companies. The processed marine litter is then turned into SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC. The resulting plastic granulate can be used to produce SEAQUAL® YARN, for example.
The aim of the SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE is to reduce pollution of the oceans and coasts. Plastic waste from the sea is recycled and put to good use.
